Principal Update

Dear LP Families,

We are excited to announce a school-wide attendance challenge (Everyday Counts Challenge!) for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Beginning Monday, March 16th, each grade level will compete to meet our school’s goal of 95% daily attendance for four weeks.

Competition Dates: March 16th–May 1st

Winning Grade-Level Celebration: Friday, May 8 - the winning grade level will earn time on the playground and an ice cream treat!

Why this matters:
Strong attendance helps students build routines, stay connected with peers and staff, and succeed academically. Even one or two missed days can make it hard for students to keep up — but when we work together, every day counts!

How families can help:

*Establish a predictable morning routine

*Prepare materials/outfits the night before

*Call us if transportation or schedule challenges arise — we are here to support you

We appreciate everything you do to help your child arrive at school on time and every day. We can’t wait to celebrate our students’ hard work in May!

Warm regards,

Dr. Bello, Mrs. Catalfano, Mrs. Kirkley, and Mrs. Cullen
