Principal Update

Dear LP Families,

We are so excited to share that LP is now home to a food pantry, thanks to our partnership with Center for Youth and Foodlink! This is just one way we’re working to make sure every family has what they need.

In addition to the food pantry, we also have a clothing closet and hygiene products available for any family member—not just our students. These resources are here for you, no questions asked.

If you or someone you know could use a little extra help, please reach out to me, a trusted staff member, or our Community Schools Coordinator, Liz Knapp. All requests are handled with confidentiality and dignity, because we believe that asking for help should always feel safe and respectful.

Please also help us spread the word! If you know another LP family who might benefit from these resources, encourage them to reach out. Together, we can make sure everyone has what they need to thrive.

At LP, we believe in caring for one another. Our school is more than a place for learning—it’s a community where families can find support beyond our four walls.

Enjoy your weekend!

Dr. Bello

P.S. I added some new grade level reading passages below for you to practice at home- check it out!

🍁 Harvesting Imagination: Read Together This Fall!

Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing grade-level reading passages to help families support reading at home. These passages are designed to reflect the reading expectations for each grade, giving you a clear picture of what your child is working on in school. Whether it’s building fluency, understanding vocabulary, or diving into deeper comprehension, these short texts are a great way to practice together and celebrate your child’s growth as a reader!
