Dear LP Families,
I would first like to thank all of our families who were able to make it out last night to our Open House event! It's always a lot of fun to see our students so excited to show you around the building and to introduce the people that take care of them while at school! I would also like to thank our amazing PTA for organizing the Pizza Picnic. You all did a great job bringing our school community together through social connection and food! Finally, thank you to all of the LP teachers and staff for sharing your spaces and passion with our families. I say it all the time...our students are very lucky to have you all! If you were unable to attend, please keep scrolling as I have added PowerPoint presentations for each grade level. There is also an opportunity to sign up for Parent/Teacher conferences taking place in November.
We are always looking for ways to improve our Open House experience. If you did not already have time to do so, can you please use the following link to complete a quick feedback form?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Don't forget! Families are invited to join us Saturday, 9/28 at 10:30am to walk in the Homecoming parade as a school. The more the merrier! We will meet in the transportation parking lot off Kane Drive around 10:00am. Students can wear their new school shirts or any other school pride apparel!
Finally, as we near the end of Attendance Awareness Month, I hope you will read the latest fact about the impact of attendance on our students below. We genuinely want our students in school every day. As always, if you need any support please call myself, Ms. McAllister (school counselor), or Mrs. Catalfano (school social worker.
I hope you have a great weekend! Go Lancers!
Dr. Bello
Ps: Plan ahead! State regulations mandate that all school districts administer an annual test of its Early Dismissal Plan. Students will be released 15 minutes earlier than normally scheduled on Thursday, 10/10. Please make appropriate arrangements. As a reminder, there will be no school for students on Friday, 10/11 for School Improvement Day and schools are closed Monday, 10/14 for Columbus Day. Thank you!
