Dear LP Families,
It's hard to believe but it's already time to start thinking about our annual Seabreeze school trip! A letter should have gone home with each student last week. Here are a few key reminders:
*Our trip is planned for Monday, June 23rd
*Families are responsible for covering the cost of admission- $25 (If you have season passes, those can be used!)
*Bag lunches can be provided by the school- please make sure you check the correct box on the permission slip
*Permission forms and money (cash only) are due June 2nd.
*Please consider chaperoning, the more the merrier! The kids have more fun when the groups are small so we appreciate anyone who is able to join us that day. However, please note siblings are not allowed to attend the school event (9:30am to 1:30pm).
*Students are allowed to stay at the park beyond 1:30pm with an approved adult. A form will go home with that info soon. Otherwise, students will be expected to return to school at 1:30pm and be dismissed from school.
I hope you all enjoy the long weekend! Please note, we do not have school Monday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day.

**NEW PTA EVENT!**
We are trying something new this year and hope you will be able to join us! The LP PTA is hosting an event where families can join us in the morning for some donuts and coffee to celebrate the end of another amazing school year. Please be sure to RSVP so we have enough refreshments!

Jumpstart Camp:
Dates: July 21- 24 & July 28-31
Time: 8:30 - 11:30 am
Location: 1st-2nd, 3rd, 4th - 5th grade sessions at Helendale Primary School
Jumpstart Camp offers an opportunity for our students to strengthen their skills and extend their learning to get ready for the new school year. We will personalize their instruction, so students get just what they need. Students will participate in hands on integrated learning activities to set them up for success in the future!

Location: Helendale Primary School
Our Kinder Camp offers our newest students an opportunity to get a first look at going to school, being independent, and socializing with peers and teachers. Your child will be able to bridge their home and school environments with fun activities and loving support from educators. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where your little one feels comfortable to explore school, communicate with others, and try some new things!

Jumpstart ENL offers an opportunity for our ENL students to strengthen their skills and extend their learning to get ready for the new school year. STEM Camp
Dates: July 7-10 & July 14-17
Time: 8:30 - 11:30 am
Location: Students entering grades 2-5 at Helendale Primary School
Summer STEM Camp will provide students with a unique opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts in a fun, engaging, and collaborative environment. Each day, students will participate in team building activities and projects, by creating LEGO® themed masterpieces. Students of all LEGO® building abilities welcome! By participating in this camp, we hope to inspire students to be the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and creators, empowering them to make a positive impact on their communities and the world.

Scholarship Opportunity!
The East Irondequoit Teachers Association is pleased to offer one $100 scholarship to a current Laurelton-Pardee School Student toward the cost of a summer camp this summer. We will choose one student at random from the submitted entries. In order to be considered for this scholarship, please fill out the attached form and submit to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, May 28.
