Dear LP Families,
Happy Friday! This will be the final newsletter of the 2023-2024 school year. It has been an honor and privilege to partner with you in providing the very best educational experience to our students. To our 5th grade families, we wish you the best of luck as you begin to navigate a new chapter in your child's journey- middle school! Always know, we are never far and to please reach out if you need anything. Your children are ready! We can't wait to see what the future holds for them. To our families continuing on with us, we look forward to seeing their faces opening day. Each school year is another opportunity to see continued growth, maturity, and opportunities.

East Irondequoit CSD Summer Meal Program. Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL children 18 years old and younger. Locations: Durand Eastman Intermediate School East Irondequoit Middle School Helendale Road School. Dates and Times: July 1 - August 16, 2024, Breakfast: 8:00 am - 9:30 am Lunch: 11:00 am - 12:45 pm. The East Irondequoit Summer Meals Program is a USDA-funded program. East Irondequoit CSD and USDA are equal opportunity providers and employers.

Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Program: Beginning in 2024, New York State will launch Summer EBT, a new program that provides low-income families with food benefits to help cover the cost of groceries when school is out of session. Summer is the time when many children lose access to free meals they get at school. Most eligible children will receive Summer EBT food benefits automatically; however, some families may need to apply. LP spring concerts are on the district YouTube channel! Please share this with your student and other family members! This is a great way to watch these concerts anywhere, anytime.
