Dear LP Families,
Welcome to a new school year! I’m excited to begin this journey with you and your children as we work together to create a positive learning environment. Communication is key to our success, and I’m happy to introduce our weekly school newsletter, which will be sent out every Friday.
Each edition will include important updates, upcoming events, highlights from around the school, and helpful resources to keep you informed and engaged. We look forward to staying connected and celebrating all the wonderful things happening in our school community.
Please keep scrolling as there are many dates, events, and to-do tasks for families to get our year started! Our amazing PTA is also seeking help in putting together a 'Welcome Back' breakfast for staff.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend!

P.S. Your children are amazing! Thank you for sharing them with us.

ATTENTION ALL FAMILIES
All East Irondequoit students will continue to receive FREE breakfast and lunch this school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)—regardless of household income. This federal and state funded program ensures every student has access to nutritious meals at no cost.
To help our school maintain this valuable program, we kindly ask parents and guardians to complete the CEP Household Income Form. This form is available on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or download a copy. Your participation helps determine the level of funding our school receives from the state to support this initiative.
Device Protection Plans (DPP)
Before devices can go home student must have this agreement signed by a family member.
Please digitally sign in the Parent Portal, ALL parent/guardians should have an account that I.T. created for them.
If you are having issues:
verify your email address is correct in Infinite campus (this is your username)
if needed, select “Forgot password”, a link will be sent to your email/username to reset.
Visitor Check-in!
We’re excited to share an update on our new mobile kiosks for visitor check-in across the district. These kiosks are designed to make the process faster and more secure for everyone entering our buildings.
To make check-in even easier, we encourage parents, guardians, and other visitors to download the Raptor Safe app on their mobile devices. This app allows users to:
· Scan their ID
· Take a selfie photo
· Generate a QR code for future visits
Once set up, visitors can simply open the app, swipe up to find their QR code, and scan it at the mobile kiosk. This will automatically print a badge using the photo on your license. If you plan to visit more than once this school year, we highly recommend downloading the app—it takes only a few minutes to set up and eliminates the need to scan your license and take a photo each time.
We’ve also implemented safety alerts. If someone flagged as not allowed entry attempts to check in, our main office staff and district safety personnel will be notified. In rare cases, false positives may occur. If this happens, staff may ask to scan your license at the front desk for further verification.
To help you get started, we’ve included: ·
Create Raptor Safe Passport
Using raptor visitor safe app at mobile kiosk
Feel free to share this information with other family members or caregivers who may be visiting the school.
Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe and efficient!
