Dear LP Families,
It's hard to believe, but the time has come to start thinking about the 2025-2026 school year! During the month of May, I will be working with teachers and staff to create classroom placements for next year. I would like to welcome all of our current 3rd and 4th grade families to send me an email with input to consider for your child when making these placements. Please send me characteristics of a teacher and/or classroom you feel will give your child the most success. We will do our very best to match your child appropriately! Given our timeline, please submit all emails to me no later than May 16th.
For our 5th grade families, you have an exciting upcoming opportunity to learn more about the middle school transition. Please see the flyer below for more information.

Celebrating Our PTA Volunteers
Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 20-26, and LP is proud to celebrate all of the passionate volunteers who we love to PTA with! The power of PTA comes from you, our volunteers, and we are filled with gratitude to champion the PTA mission alongside you.
It takes a special type of person to step up and lean in; we appreciate their tireless work and dedication! From organizing events and membership drives to bridging gaps between families and educators, the work of our volunteers often goes far beyond our recognition. We would like to honor and celebrate all of our volunteers!
“Count us in” for Family Game Night
Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 5:30-7:30 pm
East Irondequoit Middle School Cafeteria, 155 Densmore Road
Ivan Green, Helendale Road, Laurelton Pardee and Durand Eastman Students and their families are invited to join us for a night of fun counting games with dice and cards. All families that attend will receive a take-home bag of games and materials to continue play at home. Community Schools in partnership with Center for Youth is providing pizza and water.
