Dear LP Families,

This is a reminder that students will be dismissed at 11:30am today to make space for Parent/Teacher conferences in the afternoon. You can reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions about your conference time or if you still would like to find a time to meet.

Our Future Leaders of Tomorrow student committee created a fun activity to promote kindness in our school next week! Please check out the Spirit Week flyer below for more details. We are looking forward to showing our LP pride!

Safety Week, April 29-May3, All schools in the district will be conducting safety drills this week. These drills include fire drills and lock down drills. Don’t be alarmed if you hear the alarms sounding at schools or students standing outside for fire drills.

Please join us for our April PTA meeting. We will be discussing open PTA positions, as well as sharing information about our latest TSI school designation. The meeting will be held in the LGI at Laurelton-Pardee.

Open Laurelton-Pardee PTA Board Positions

We're excited to announce that several board positions will be opening up for the 2024-2025 school year at Laurelton-Pardee. If you're interested in getting more involved and making a difference in our school community, we encourage you to read through the brief position descriptions below and consider running for one of these important roles. Your dedication and enthusiasm are what make our PTA thrive.

President:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the PTA board and members.
- Oversee all PTA activities, meetings, and events.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the PTA, school administration, and community.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to other board members.
- Represent the PTA at school functions and district meetings.
Vice President:
- Assist the President in fulfilling their duties.
- Assume the President's responsibilities in their absence.
- Collaborate with other board members to plan and execute events.
- Support and coordinate committees within the PTA.
Treasurer:
- Manage the financial affairs of the PTA.
- Maintain accurate records of income and expenses.
- Create and present financial reports at PTA meetings.
- Work closely with the board to create and manage the annual budget.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and PTA bylaws.
Recording Secretary:
- Record and maintain minutes of all PTA meetings.
- Distribute meeting minutes to board members and PTA members.
- Assist in drafting agendas for meetings.
- Keep track of important documents and records.
Corresponding Secretary:
- Handle all official correspondence for the PTA.
- Send out communications to members regarding meetings, events, and announcements.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information.
- Work with other board members to ensure effective communication within the PTA community.
