“One School, One Book” celebrates the power of stories to bring us together, inspire, educate, and foster a sense of togetherness through community reading. We are super excited to introduce you to this year's selection: 8 Class Pets + 1 Squirrel ÷ 1 Dog = Chaos by Vivian Vande Velde. Below, you will find a calendar of activities that includes reading chapters together as a family, a schoolwide field trip to the Seneca Park Zoo, schoolwide quiz games, Author visit from Vivian Vande Velde herself, donuts, and more!

One of our goals this year is to increase engagement among our families. Before COVID, I feel there used to be many opportunities for families to volunteer during the school day and we've since lost that connection. We would love to bring that back! In that spirit, we are seeking any family volunteers to help with various projects and needs within the school. I've listed a few ideas above but that certainly isn't an inclusive list.
