Dear LP Families,
While that is a terrible freeze frame of my face (yikes!), the message I deliver is important for our families to hear. We explained the Three-Strike policy to all students this morning. Feel free to watch this episode and talk with your child about their understanding of the classroom/school expectations. Ask your child if they are meeting these expectations and/or how they can meet them moving forward. Your support in reiterating the importance of safety, as well as the goal of learning in school is important and appreciated. A letter was also sent home with every student this week explaining the policy a bit more; I am attaching for your review: Three Strike Family Letter 1.docx
On a positive note, students have really shown growth these last two weeks prioritizing morning arrival. They are getting their breakfast and heading to their classrooms in a timely manner. I have noticed morning conflicts are down and students are starting their instructional day much sooner. This may not seem like a huge deal, but tightening daily routines like this make all the difference for our students. We appreciate our families making sure every student is here every day and on time.
Last but not least, we have our One School One Book project starting next week! A HUGE thank you to our OSOB committee for putting together this awesome opportunity for our kids. Please keep scrolling to see more information.
Have a wonderful weekend!

One of our goals this year is to increase engagement among our families. Before COVID, I feel there used to be many opportunities for families to volunteer during the school day and we've since lost that connection. We would love to bring that back! In that spirit, we are seeking any family volunteers to help with various projects and needs within the school. I've listed a few ideas above but that certainly isn't an inclusive list. If you are interested in learning more about potential volunteer opportunities, please reach out to me or Mr. Spadoni for more information or fill out the form below:
