Dear LP Families,
This morning, we were not only greeted by a really pretty sunrise, our Future Leaders of Tomorrow student committee decorated our hallways with 'snowflakes of kindness'. Their flurry of kind messages was a sweet surprise! You can see a few examples above.
We have one more week until our winter break. There is much anticipation and excitement in the air, but we must also remember the holidays can be a difficult time for some of our families. Please help us remind your students that we need to stay focused, make safe choices, and be kind. We appreciate your support!
Finally, the weather has become quite cold and we want to make sure all of our students have warm winter gear. We have extra hats, gloves, and some coats in our donation closet. Please reach out to a trusted staff member if your student could use these items. We are happy to help!
I hope you have a great weekend!

Our first Reading Challenge was a success! We had our first celebration this week and another one coming up next week. Students enjoyed sweet treats and Minute to Win It games. Special thank you to our donors- LP PTA, Wegmans, Tim Hortons and Pencils & Paper. Each student got to bring home a new book and a Timbits certificate. Also, thank you to Mrs. Costello and Ms. Weigel for organizing this reading event!
Please encourage your student to participate in next semester's challenge! We had just over 50 students read 5-9 books and just over 20 students who read more than 10 books. We would love to see those numbers rise! Let's get reading!
Please enjoy some pictures below from our recent celebration.
