Dear LP Families,
I walked past Ms. Kimber and Mrs. Martello's room and couldn't help but smile when I saw the poster above. It is an excellent reminder of all the ways we continue to be thankful to serve our community and your students. They make us laugh and feel a sense of pride in how much they are growing, academically and emotionally! Speaking of laughing, your student may have come home this week and told you about all the different ways staff members were acting/dressing a bit strange. I promise you we didn't lose our mind! Rather, we did a fun 'underground spirit week'. This is a viral trend where teachers and staff do a secret spirit week without the students knowing. Every day is a different theme and it definitely keeps students on their toes! This is just a fun way to build culture among colleagues and within the school. We had some hilarious reactions. I tried to post some photos below so you would get a sense of how ridiculous we were. Too funny!
In closing, a quick reminder that students will have a half day of school on Monday, 11/25 (dismissal at 11:35am) and no school Tuesday, 11/26 in honor of Parent/Teacher conferences. Thanksgiving break will resume Wednesday, 11/27 through Friday, 11/29. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Proposed improvements at Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School include:
Renovate and air condition the gymnasium and areas necessary to meet state temperature law expected to go into effect this year.
Improve playground safety by adding barriers to the sides that border the street and driveway.
IT upgrades to the network closets to ensure the integrity of the network.
