Dear Families,
We have several wonderful opportunities coming up for our LP Intermediate families, and we’d love for you to be part of them!
First, it's not too late to join our new LP TalkingPoints Book Club, which will focus on supporting children’s emotional health and strengthening our school community. Families who join will receive a free copy of The Anxious Generation and will have access to helpful resources about how technology affects kids, as well as information on childhood anxiety, depression, and social isolation. We’ll also share ideas to help families build resilience in children and offer future chances for parents to come together for discussions and play‑based activities. It’s a great way to learn, connect, and support one another. If interested, please reach out to me or Jackie Antonelli to get you on our list!
Later this month, our PTA will be hosting a bright and joyful evening at the Glow Dance on Friday, January 30, from 6:30–8:00 PM in the LP Gym. Families can attend together for $10, which includes a glow necklace for each person. Additional glow items and snacks will be available for purchase, and preregistration is required. This event is always a favorite, and we hope to see many families lighting up the night! Keep scrolling to see registration info.
Looking ahead to February, we invite all families across the district to join us for Family Game Night on February 5, from 5:30–7:30 PM at EI Middle School. This free, district‑wide event brings everyone together for a fun evening of pizza, games, crafts, LEGO stations, sensory‑friendly activities, and even a bounce house with scheduled times by grade level. It’s a perfect way to play, explore, and enjoy time together. Families are encouraged to register by January 27.
We hope you’ll join us for these special events as we continue to build community, connection, and joy at LP!
Warm regards,
Dr. Bello
