Ivan Green Weekly Update

November 1, 2024

Welcome from Mr. Hiley

Dear Ivan Green Families:

We had such a fun spirit week for Socktober. The highlight for most kids was dress-up day, which coincided with Halloween. Most of our classes had fall parties and enjoyed festive foods and activities. Thank you to all the families who sent in treats and/or volunteered for our parties.

I realized a life goal when I received a picture of Mr. Klossner and John L. dressed as me for the day. How flattering!

To help the District prepare for the upcoming AI presentation for families, please fill out this short form to let us know if you are interested in attending our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Parent Night and if you will need babysitting for your children:  https://forms.office.com/r/5vzsWLJ9zF

Have a great fall weekend! Go Bills!

Sincerely,

Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.

Community Schools Connection: Join the FACE Team

Community Schools is forming a Family And Community Engagement (FACE) Team, and we need your help! We’re inviting all members of the Ivan Green School community to join us in developing a Needs and Assets Assessment. This will help us identify our strengths and areas for improvement, shaping our next steps as a Community School.

Your experiences and insights are incredibly valuable. This process won’t add extra work to your plates—just your time and participation. We’ll meet twice a month to draft and finalize the assessment, then collect and analyze the data.

An informational meeting will be scheduled soon to explain our goals and answer any questions. I hope to reach out to everyone after November 1st to schedule our first FACE Team meeting.

Thank you to those who have already volunteered.

Let’s work together to support our community’s needs and enhance our strengths!
