Welcome from Mr. Hiley
Dear IG Families:
One of the highlights of this week was our second-grade chorus concert. The students did a fantastic job! It was a terrific way to wrap up their IG music careers. Next year at Durand Eastman School, they will have the option to join chorus, which meets outside of the music class each week. By the sounds of today, we will have a very successful third grade chorus.
It was also another terrific Lunch with Lancers turn out. Thank you to everyone who came in!
This time of year feels like we are burning the candle at both ends, at least in my house. We have busy days at school and all sorts of nighttime activities (baseball, lacrosse, and school concerts to name a few). I notice that my own children get overtired and extra cranky when we do not keep to our bedtime routines. So, as much as possible, try to keep your little Ivan Greeners well-rested as we head into the home stretch here at school. We have tons to look forward to!
This weekend is our annual Secondhand FreeMarket here at IG. We would love for you to stop by tomorrow to "shop." Spread the word throughout the community - everything is free! We are also hosting a playground social from 10-12 with our community schools staff. It is a great weekend to swing by IG!
Sincerely,
Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.
Principal
