Ivan Green Weekly Update

June 6, 2025

Welcome from Mr. Hiley

Dear IG Families:

Today I met with each grade level group to share with them that I would not be their principal next year and that next week they will get to meet their new principal, Dr. Passero. Some of the questions I received included, "Will you still do the Morning Show?" and "Why don't you want to work at Ivan Green anymore." It was just another reminder of how wonderful your children are and how special our school community is. I assured them they would love Dr. Passero just as much and that I would certainly stop in for visits.

Last week I gave a shout-out to our students as something special to me about Ivan Green. This week, I want to recognize our student support team - the social emotional learning experts of our school. We have the most amazing team at Ivan Green!

Mrs. Estes - student success coach
Mrs. Zimber - school social worker
Mrs. Hess - school psychologist
Mrs. Rickerson - school psychologist
Ms. Logan - social learning specialist in the reset room
Ms. George - Liberty Resources therapist

If you have interacted with any of them, you know how special they are to the success of our students. Our school is better because of their shared commitment to student success.

Remember, tonight is the Bike Rodeo! I hope you can come.

Sincerely,

Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.
Principal
