Dear IG Families:
This is the last full week of school AND the last e-newsletter I will send as the principal of Ivan Green Primary School. It has been my honor and privilege to be part of this community and to be just a piece of your child's story. Your children are among the most engaging, caring, and capable students I have ever worked with. It has been my pleasure to serve as their principal. I wish them all the very best as they continue their time at IG and will be sure to stop in to say hi regularly.
In the last few weeks, I have highlighted special groups of people at IG. I started with students, then our mental health staff, followed by the main office staff. The final shout-out goes to all the grown-ups who do the work every day - teachers and parents. The tag-team between home and school is SO important, neither job is easy. But IG families and IG teachers show up for all students every day. Thank you to all of you!
Finally, the big news this afternoon is the adjusted schedules for Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24. We will dismiss here at 12:15 with a grab-and-go lunch for all students. They will be able to take their lunches home to eat.
