Dear Ivan Green Families:
We have so many great things going on at Ivan Green! Each Wednesday, we feature a parent or guardian of an Ivan Green student on the morning show during our segment called Working Wednesday. We are in need of some more volunteers, if you are interested in talking about your job and the skills you need or have learned to do your job. This week we had a middle school reading teacher. We have had a nurse, a food scientist, a vet tech and are looking forward to having a cashier and a sushi chef. No job is too big or too small. Our goal is to show our students the importance of building skills to reach their future goals in college and/or career.
We are also still trying to reach out winter reading challenge goal. Lance (the Lancer) Bear is getting ready to hibernate, but he is hoping we will read 500 more books before he lays down for a long winter's nap. Hopefully, we will meet that goal next week and have one more winter visit on the Morning Show from Lance and Mrs. Dunn.
Please help your Lancer with filling out their BEAR ten frame when they are reading at home. Lance is counting on us!
Sincerely,
Lucas Hiley, Ed.D.
