Greetings Lancer Parents/Guardians,
I think Spring has finally sprung on East Irondequoit! Our students definitely reacted to the nice weather in a positive manner. Looking forward to our spring sports teams enjoying their last round of games with warmer weather.
We had out DWI Crash simulator today for all of our seniors to impress upon them the importance of making good choices when they get into a car with a friend. Special thanks to the Irondequoit Police Department, Fire Department, Harris Funeral Home and the Rivera Family for their part in today’s assembly. Every aspect of today’s assembly had an impact on our seniors!
Looking forward to our senior ball tomorrow night at Eagle Vale located in Perinton. Ball time is from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Students will not be allowed to enter the ball after 7:00 p.m. nor leave before 10:00 p.m. Please have conversations with your students around appropriate behavior. This has been such an amazing senior class, I would hate to have anything negative happened that would take away from this great class.
John Gammon, our new principal as of July 1 visited Eastridge yesterday and spent the day getting to know staff and students. I enjoyed my time with him talking about this year and all the things that we did this year. The hiring committee did a great job in securing John, he will be hit the ground running as of July 1. John is a former Eastridge math teacher and football coach approximately 18 years ago. Welcome back home John Gammon!
Please take a close look at the calendar of events below. There are so many events that will take place on a variety of different levels all recognizing and celebration our Lancer students. If you are anything like me, you are not going to want to miss anything that your child will be recognized for.
Enjoy the weekend!
Dave Dunn, Interim Principal
